Convertible debentures are those debentures which can be convertible either into equity shares or other securities at the option of debenture holder or at the option of the company.
Types of Convertible Debentures
1. Fully convertible debentures (FCD)
These are the debentures where the full amount of debentures is convertible into equity shares or other securities as agreed on the debenture agreement.
2. Party Convertible Debentures (PCD)
Partly convertible debentures are those debentures where only a portion of the amount is convertible into equity shares or other securities at specified time and remaining part of debentures is redeemable on agreed terms.
